Managing Director- Stellaris Marine

Jaimie Howell Jones

A Master Mariner with 24 years’ experience in the marine industry including service on Jack-up rigs -marine seismic vessels, anchor handlers, a range of barges, and dive support vessels. Worked his way up to the rank of Master. He also has ten years as a Rig Mover and Tow Master. He is a former accredited member of OCMIF with experience in OVID and CMID inspections.

He started his career with International Marine Inc. in 1998 and gained his experience working in a number of global locations incl. West Africa and Thailand for a number of blue-chip companies in the sector, including Chevron, Seadrill, Noble Denton and Tidewater. Currently managing director of Stellaris Marine.

Stellaris Marine is a Qatari company founded to provide marine and engineering consultancy to the Oil & Gas and shipping industries.

Our Clients include oil & Gas companies, drilling & offshore contractors, shipowners and charterers.

Our staff comprised of highly qualified and experienced Master Mariners, Naval Architects, Civil, Structural and Marine Engineers provide a unique combination of professional expertise.

Stellaris Marine acts as consultant and/or representative for or on behalf of our clients on, but not limited to, loadout, towage, installation of project cargoes, installation of steel jackets, topsides, concrete structures, floating production systems, engineering & plan reviews, structural analysis of MOU & MODU, salvage, wreck removal feasibility, operations, collision investigations, damage assessment to port installations, cargo damage surveys, marine pollution assessment, condition surveys and charter party disputes of a varying nature. The team of professional surveyors who operate in Qatar are able to respond quickly to attend at ports and offshore installations throughout the region.
